I am very excited to be able to let you know that yesterday the Board of Directors approved a plan to bring the first ever National u3a Festival to York and I wanted members and u3as in our region to be the first to know. 

We will be holding it at York University where there are sufficient facilites for us to be able to welcome members from all over the UK to come and enjoy all manner of interests and sporting activities all in one location.

To be held over a 3 day period in the week beginning 15th July 2024 we expect to be able to accommodate sporting tournaments, art and craft activities and workshops as well as music and local excursions.

Plans are very much in the early stages and although it may be a little time before we get further details to you I hope you will put it in your diaries.  There will be student accommdoation available right next door to the sports and exhibition/restaurant areas we will be using but there are also local hotels, guest houses, and campsites which members may like to book.   There will also be the opportunity for people to come for the day.
