Current Affairs 1

This group ‘does exactly what it says on the tin’ - we meet to discuss the issues of the day.  This could be news stories, which have been reported on that day, or could be ongoing issues, which are of concern to the members.  Members are asked, although not forced, to ‘take the chair’ for a meeting, this gives them the opportunity to put forward their own subject for discussion.  This results in a very wide and varied programme, and we have discussed many diverse issues.  It is fair to say that our meetings could often be described as ‘lively’.  We meet 2nd and 4th Thursday at The Old Court House, Pocklington 10.00am–12.00 noon.
