Film Group

We are a group of people who love the cinema.  We screen a variety of films, from classic movies of the golden age of cinema to modern films.  Any genre and category is considered from the onset of “talkies”, Hollywood blockbusters, British cinema and foreign language films – the only criterion is that they must be good and come highly recommended by some of the members!  Before each film we delve into its background and find out more about directors and stars.  If you are interested in settling down with the popcorn and reliving (or seeing for the first time) some magical movies, we meet every first and third Friday afternoons of the month at the Stewart Bowling Club in Pocklington.  Details of our future screenings are available on the website – or why not talk to us at any Drop-In session?

The Film Group Programme can be found under Resources/Group Information.
