The annual Gilbert & Sullivan Festival takes place in the beautiful Buxton Opera House from Saturday, 27 July to Saturday, 10 August 2024.

This is a fabulous event to bring a group of ten or more people for a great day out with fantastic entertainment.  Our groups love the G&S  Festival and return year after year.  So, if you haven’t tried it yet, give it a go in 2024!               

The majority of groups enjoy outstanding matinee or evening productions of the most-loved G&S operas performed by the professional National Gilbert & Sullivan Opera Company or Charles Court Opera.  You can choose from The Pirates of Penzance, The Gondoliers, HMS Pinafore and Trial by Jury, and The Sorcerer (Charles Court Opera).  The National G&S Opera Company principals will also perform the acclaimed “Best of Gilbert & Sullivan Concert” on Friday 9 August (matinee and evening).

In addition, there are many other shows to see, from Bus Pass Opera’s production of Patience (all the performers are over 60) to SavoyNet Performing Group’s production of The Mikado with cast members from around the world. 

Tickets for the professional National Gilbert & Sullivan productions are from £29-£41 (before group discounts are applied), and for the competing shows, ticket costs are from £22 to £31 before discounts.  See the programme below.

We can hold seats until an agreed date without any deposit or cancellation penalties, and we can also arrange a private pre-theatre talk about the show.
